Give us a little of your history.
I grew up in the capital region and moved to Rochester to attend Nazareth College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Entrepreneurship (who knew that would come in handy!?) A few years later as my husband and settled into our adult lives in Rochester, I found myself at a point in my 'day-to-day' career where I started feeling like I needed something more. At the time I didn't know what that “more” was, but I knew I wanted something that I could call my own! Then it came to me: Hype Booth! In the years after graduating from Nazareth, I had attended plenty of weddings (including my own) and I was always the person who became best friends with the photo booth attendant because I took WAY too many photos. I looked at this 'skill' I had and decided to turn it into my passion! The fact that those experiences are what created my now-business still blows my mind.

Hype Booth is not your standard mall photo booth where you squeeze in and pull the curtain- it's an open air-style modern booth. It can be set up almost anywhere and we can use just about anything as a backdrop! Hype Booth sets itself apart with the high quality digital and print images it provides, as well as the customizations we build for your specific event. Personalized prints, custom props, handmade backdrops, I want to make sure Hype Booth fits every event perfectly! Hype Booth is about having fun; it's about gathering your crew, letting loose, and putting on your best smile.
What are some of your favorite things about Rochester?
The Rochester community welcomed Hype Booth with open arms 4 years ago and has been so good to me. I love this city! The events I’ve been asked to be a part of have been above and beyond what I could have ever imagined - from grand openings, galas, fundraisers and holiday parties to weddings galore! It's been nonstop and I am so grateful. I’ve learned there's an event every night in Rochester if you just look for it and I feel so fortunate to live in a town that endlessly celebrates the arts and countless charities! Beyond the events are the people, the valued friendships and business relationships I’ve formed would never have been possible without Hype Booth. I was a woman with an idea and a hustle, and Rochester helped me turn that into a successful business.
