Behind the Scenes: Sewn Seeds Runway Show

The fifth annual Sewn Seeds 2017 Runway Show happened last weekend and it was every bit as electric, colorful and lively as it looks in the following photos. If you didn't make it to this one, be sure to make a point to attend in 2018, it is a fun and energetic event that displays so many talented designers in one show. Designer Josean Vargas, of J. Vargas Designs featured a collection to focus on elevating urban wear to high fashion status with its chic, sexy and stylish silhouettes.

Lauren Elizabeth Alberque & Tempest Paige // Lolita Fashion

"Lolita Kei": a glimpse into the alluring world of Lolita fashion.This entire showcase was put together by Lauren Elizabeth Alberque (an archivist at RIT) and Tempest Paige (owner of Sweet Poison Cupcake Boutique).

Mary Ellen Hill // Bespoke Designs

Ms. Hill showcased a wild collection including coats in wondrously constructed, generous volumes and deconstructed dresses that reaffirmed Mary's articulation of the feminine mystique.

Mary Rockcastle // Look What Mary Made

Mary Rockcastle offered lively pieces that gave a kitschy outlook on pop culture.

Tanvi Asher // Shop Peppermint

Designer and creator of Sewn Seeds, Tanvi Asher of Shop Peppermint showed spring ready-to-wear designs from Peppermint that highlighted feminine florals, lots of embroidery and on-trend 60's style lace overlays.
